Fit one from an early Vauxhall.

is it exact same size fit? is that just one bulb? or one in the cig lighter and one for inside or what?
or is that the proper astra ashtray but with the orange bit changed to white?

AntCAn't you basically just change the surround in and the bulb and boom done. Instead of mucking about with wiring in lil LEDs.

    Yes you can,

Fit a blue bulb/led in place of the normal one with a white fag lighter surround.

So why have you done it with lots of little LEDs? Is there a bulb inside the tray itself? I've never noticed? Or is that a mod you have done?

I wanted it nice and bright and so it also illuminated the ashtray itself too (Use it for change storage).

If you just replace the bulb with an LED in probably wont be as evenly lit and wont shine in the ashtray.

Thats cool atleast it'll look blue and match rest of console. So if I buy any vauxhall ashtray off of eBay then has a clear ring around the cig lighter not a orange one then I can just swap the surround over?
