Going to Red Dot - what shall I expect?

I plan to go to Red Dot and get a remap.
My car is pretty much standard, has a new turbo (standard turbo though) and a straight through exhaust with cherry bomb type silencer.
Might get the precat replaced first with a pipe - what do you reckon?

What power do you reckon I can expect and is there anything I should check before I go?

Cool thanks for the info, I will wait until I have removed the precat before I go and fit new plugs and a better airfilter.

    Dave,

As Lee indicated 1st things 1st change your Precat... I went to Red.Dot end of July along with Lee and a few other members.... I was running a pretty much standard Set up apart from my Catback Stainless Steel Exhaust, K&N Panel Filter.... My Remap was restricited largely by the 1st Cat... My Precat never arrived in time.. I made 228bhp 1st Run, 224 bhp 2nd Run and 226.3bhp Final Run.... I would've had much better results had it not been for the restrictive Precat strangling my boost....... This has now been replaced.. with a large SMIC on it's way... Back to Red
.Dot in a few weeks hoping for nearer 250bhp...

Cool thanks for the info mate. I was unsure whether to bother or not as I didn't know how bad it was, but after what you and Lee have said I definitely will get rid of the pre-cat.

thats strange when i had cs1 on my car i had the standard precat and main cat also the oe airfilter and i made 245. this was on amd's rollers. but the main reason to get the decat is to keep the heat away from the turbo
