2000 astra G under bonnet relay and fuse boxes

    Hi,

Does anyone know what these relays/fuses are?

I've searched all over, including the Haynes manual and can't find the ratings and devices for these relays and fuses (the 2 black boxes on the picture).

The foto is not mine, but it's the same on my car.

An electrician switched my powersteering fuse for a 40A one, and I suspect that this is overrated...

    Thanks a lot

seeing as thats my pic lol i'll try and answer, i believe all that info should be in the manual belong to the car.

here is what is written in my manual.....

"The fuses for the preheatng system and fuel filter heating(diesel engine), as well as other relays and fuses depending on vehicle equipment are located in the fuse and relay box, the electrical system is also protected by up to 8 main fuses in the main fuse box, depending on equipment level, if there is a fault in one of these fuses, major parts of the electrical system will fail, CONSULT A VAUXHALL DEALER or VAUXHALL AUTHORIZED SERVICE OPERATION"

sorry im not more help, a search around here seems to bring up info about relays and fuses for wipers and washers, cooling system and air con.

    hth

Yes, I've seen that on the manual, kinda stupid that they don't say what each one is for.
