my mate had it done years ago, and hasn't had any problems. however he says its a bad idea for hayfever sufferers since the skin over the eye never heals (so you cant rub your eyes)

My nan had it done several years ago and it made her eyes worse! She is 90% blind in her left eye now! It's defiantly a risk!

My girlfreinds mum had it done and she's never regreted it. If you realy don't like glasses or contacts then it's the best for you. She said she was a bit nervous when she had to sign something saying that you can't hold them liable but i've never heard anything bad happen aslong as you do the eyedrops.

There are 5-6 people at work I know had it done, prob around 8/9 years ago now..

2 of them are back wearing glasses as their eyes were lasered to 20/20 (well close as) and then gradually got worse. One of them is in the process of having it re-done, the other cant as the cornea is too thin to have another go.

Personally, the thought of having my eyes clamped open and smelling my eyes burning with the laser put me right off!

Contact Lenses for me.. Have you tried leave in all day / all night lenses? I found them scratchy as hell after just over a week so stuck with throw away daily ones.

I know someone who is about to have contact lense type thingies implanted underneath the cornea as her condition means laser wont work, and contacts wont sit on top of her eyes correctly. Minging! lol
