    Thumbs Up Astra G OE Headlights restoration success

    Tried restoring my OE headlights and it was a success.
    Used wet sandpaper, 500->800->1000->1500->machine polish

    Before:




    Sanded:



    After:




    Happy with the results. A budget way to have nice headlights again.

    Nicely done mate, but you did it 1 week too late... I bought new headlights last week because of that issue you had. Didn't think you could restore it that good.

    Can the same results be achieved without a machine polisher ? Good work on this mate very impressive

    I tried polishing it by hand as well, you do get rid of the fog created by the sanding but not nearly as good as the machine polishing. The machine polishing literally make is look like new.

    Although I am now waiting to see how long will that effect remain, as I naturally did sand off some PC Coating that they were sprayed with to make them more durable.

    I also had yellowing on top parts, annoyed me the most, made the car look 5 yrs older.
