    whats the best brake disc design to go for
    plain
    grooved
    grooved and dimpled
    grooved and drilled
    drilled
    and whats the best pads

    Theres mixed opinions, But i think that grooved and dimpled so you have best of both worlds, Ive always been told not to get drilled discs as ive heard some horror storys as there ment to weaken the discs.

    grooved and dimpled, the drilled versions can get small cracks around the holes which weakens the disc. As for pads depends on what you want from them EBC red stuff are pretty good

    Get police spec pads from vauxhall there the same as ebc yellow stuff pads

    how do you go about getting the poilce spec pads...i need some new rear pads and i can't decide i have an 1.8i astra coupe....with standard rear discs

    you don't really need police spec pads on a 1.8 mate, green stuff will do the job, and standard ones will also do the trick mate.

    grooved (between 8 and 12) are more than sufficient
