    poor radio reception

    i have a astra coupe and just put a pioneer headunit in and cant seem to listen to the radio beacause the station just fades and alot of hissing then nothing why is this

    Is the date displayed on the MFD? If it is then the aerial booster isn't connected so plug the blue wires together

    Have a look at the base of the aerial on your roof, if it looks crusty then odds are the aerial has corroded

    Hi mate, i had a similar problem with a kenwood headunit, if connected the head unit up before slotting it to the dash it tuned in fine, have you tried this?

    The reason mine was going all fuzzy when i slotted it in turned out to be that the aerial lead was quite tight and when pushed back in would partially come out so id still get radio but real cr*p signal, in the end i just put masking tape behind it to ensure it didnt pull it, fine ever since, until the head unit broke on me

    thanks mate i have just tried this and all seems gd so far i also looked at the ariel base and its all good but i have another cable comming off the base whats it for anyone know
