Sorry to hijack the thread. I rang autovaux and ordered a cam belt kit,and waterpump, but i think i told them i had the X18xe engine, when infact i have the Z18xe engine. The stuff has arrived, but will all the bits fit the z18 engine? I gave the guy my Reg number when i ordered.

yep i have and they are not good, either go for Vauxhall or the best brand that is known for quality and that is 'GATES', Vauxhall use GATES and they are top notch. if you get from Autovaux as i do they also supply GATES.

i would not like to say mate, i would not fit one of these to my car, intermotor, qiunten hazel, dayco, they are all poor makes IMO. for peace of mind i would only fit a Gates timing belt kit and never worry about it for 40,000 miles. if you look at Gates belts when you take them off after 40,000 to change them, they actually have very little tooth wear or degradation of the belt, some other makes i have changed on other peoples cars have serious splits/cracks and tooth wear.
