it should be ok as its not in zone A(drivers view) or zone B(remainder of the wiper swept area)

It should be a fail. As any damage not contained with 40mm out side of the drivers view is a fail.

I am wrong there. I thought it was the bottom of the screen not the top. my bad. Get it fixed though

I'm pretty sure its a fail.... but depending on which garage you go to you may be able to get away with it as an advisory......

If its got pistons or tits, its gonna be expensive!!

Ive had to book test through kwik-fit because i got a free test with my car insurance. My mate seems to think it might fail because of the fact it goes from one edge to another. Might be worth me going to a window spot or local MOT garage before friday then see what say. I have windscreen cover with my insurance how do i go about getting a new screen if i need one? As ive never needed one before.

Just phone the help line number. make an appointment they either go to them or they will come to you. Get screen fitted. Give then 60 quid or whatever your policy is. Job done.

if you have windscreen cover then you call your insurance company and make a claim for the screen. pay the excess, normally £60, and they arrange a windscreen company to get in touch and arrange fitting the new screen.
