Astra sri turbo v gsi turbo

on parkers they both do 0.60 in 7 seconds and gsi does 1mph more than the sri top speed

So why is the SRI turbo so much cheaper than GSI to insure??
    And are these figures right???

Yea they are about right. The reason the gsi costs more is because of the name for one and the better trim inside.

its pointless thread 'sri-t vs gsi....!'
they are diff cars in there own right...i own a gsi which i brought beacause it came out in the colour i like best 'arden blue' and has a better interior and its the highest spec/refinement astra mk4 you can buy.....
buts its all about what an individual wants....if you want a GSI buy one if you want an SRI-T buy one and enjoy....

He is not asking which is better. He is asking why is the sri cheaper to insure than the gsi.

lol just thought id get in before others do as these threads usually end up all about which is best and oneupmanship as you well know keithy...lol
shouldnt this thread really be in the insurance section......
im sure they are the same/similar group insurance so there wont be a considerable difference on std motors...
really tho the proof is in the pudding as to why the Gsi is slightly more to buy and possibly slightly more to insure....they are more sought after standard have a better trim level and being sought after means they are more nickable too where as the sri-t standard is more understated and anybody not in the know would think its a lesser car which isnt really the case..

When i transferred the insurance from my vectra c 3.2 gsi over to my astra gsi it went up £400. When i asked why they said it's because they get stolen alot.

im not saying one car better than the other im just wondering what that extra 10bhp is doing. BUT ive just done a insurance on gsi and sri t and the gsi is now cheaper which is odd!!! For me to insure a gsi im 22 with under year under my belt and 1yncb and it coming up only at quinn insurance.

SRI t - quinn insurance 1047 full comp
GSI - quinn insurance 865 full comp

Really odd. But me wants to know where the 10bhp gone
