    CDTI Airbox?

Hi Guys. new to this forum, sorry if its a frequently asked q, i did try searching.

I got a 53 Plate GSi, starting to do a few mods on it now. I'v been browsin on here and noticed alot of people doing the 1.9 CDTI airbox conversion?

What gains does this give & also what panel filter goes in there then??

Any help is appriciated guys. Thanks

Think its more of a cosmetic thing tbh bud, might make a little difference as there's no crossover anymore and most people use the K&N panel filter (1.9)

It helps the air flow better as there is less bends in the system with this box fitted. Plus it cools the air by a few degrees due to it not going through warm metal

Hopefully remains on topic as this might help the original poster to.

If changing to the CDTI airbox do you have to change the cold air feed pipe thats under the slam panel or does the GSI one do the job?

Basically what else would be needed other that just the airbox?

no, the original air intake is adequate - altho a lot of ppl uprate to a Vectra C diesel one as its larger - see how-to section for details

other pipes are needed but cant comment on what exactly im afraid
