    Re-adhesion of bump strips?

    Hi all,

    (could fit in any section, but seeing as its my mk4 im re-applying them to.. )

    im thinking about painting my bump strips, but could anyone recommend what adhesive to use to re apply them back onto the car?

    hmm, i presumed that they'd be like my previous corsa heh (glued)

    thats great then, is it possible to remove them without having to "pop them out" from the inside of the doors/ taking door cards & trim apart ?

    Yea you can remove them with out taking door cards off. The way I did it and others do( I think) is open the front door a bit. Then push the rub strip back about an inch then it will/ should come off. And for the rear you push it forwards

    I've some time off work coming up & if the weather stays dry & warm enough, i think i'm going to have a crack at this.

    What's the chances of getting them off WITHOUT breaking the clips? Is it very difficult (i.e. a pre-trip to Vaux is required for the clips) or if you go easy enough, then should they stay intact?

    Just don't know how flimsy they are

    same ere m8 there just a lil torx screw take that out they should slide off

    the rear ones on my 3door mk4 were pull out rather than slide out just FYI
