Hey guys! I know this has been covered before, but would just like some suggestions.
My 1.6 mk5 has a problem with intermittent stalling; usual thing, always in between downward gear changes, the rev counter drops below 500rpm and the orange light comes on. Could this be the EGR valve?
The car went in to Vauxhall's last 2 days ago but they couldn't find anything, despite doing a diagnostics check and road test. I explained that the revs sometimes seems a bit irregular, possibly having trouble finding the correct idle speed.
I was told to wait until the problem gets worse so they could diagnose it properly. It's still under warranty now but obviously I don't want to wait for this to run out before they can fix it. Should I insist on them keep trying?
