    Astra Coupe Lowered 40mm

well, i ordered some Jamex springs and shocks from ebay (yes i know, cheapo, but i wanted to try them and if i didnt like them get some decent ones in) for £158. the next day they arrived, and today ive had them fitted at MPG (midpoint garage) for £100 this includes wheel alignment and camber adjustment plus the other lesser known tests.

cracking price by MPG their me thinks.

well from the pics its not great to see but in person, is looks very good, not too low, just right imo.

im well impressed with the handling now, next up is the RARB which ian was highly reccommending. the ride isnt as bad as id expected either, so im really happy.

they also fitted my front strut brace too for £60 so after a year its finally been installed.

    what do you guys think?

many people have said the roads in britain and especially round my way are too harsh for coilovers and that for what i want, (looks and a bit of extra cornering abilities) shocks and springs are what i want, if i go for coilovers, sure my handling will improve further, but my comfort will drop more. so its an inbetween solution.

when i add the whiteline RARB, the handling will be spot on without negating much comfort. if i was to track my car, coilies are certainly needed.

ive yet to see my first speed bump since "the lowering" i intend to avoid where possible.
