    any advantages of 2.5" precat to a 3"

    is there any advantage to having a 3" precat, as seriously thinking bout going down the 3" full system, or cud i keep my standard 2.5" precat and mate on a 3" system.
    or is there any point to a 3" system unless going for big power.
    reason ask is courtenay doing a 3" system and showing gd gains over a 2.5" system, although its mega pricey, and am sure can be done a lot cheaper

    yeah can be done
    it would be a waste of money bolting a 3" system on a 2.5" precat as the system is then in theory 2.5" with precat
    a full 3" system would be better but i have heard of turbos going quicker as there is less back pressure

    but compare that to £800 for 2.5" miltek
    its not that bad of a price if it includes everything

    well theres a blueflame sports cat group buy atm, so maybe get a price of them, but last time they only reccomended a 2.75", have email charlie at prospeed 2 ask him, or will get the tubing off egay and get a zorst place to make up

    if the exhaust company said go for 2.75 then go for that andy
    or that guy who made the system on the sri mk5 you had

    is just courtenay quoting a 10bhp improvement over a 2.5" system. thats quite a jump over a 2.5" system really

    surely if the turbo goes (dies) quicker with a 3" then this must of been researched by piper etc?
