    Front brakelights.....

    I changed a rear brake light bulb last week.

    I got the correct one from halfords according to their manuals they have in store.

    Ever since though when i brake the front sidelights come on?!?!?!

    Any ideas people??????

    Very strange, I can't imagine that changing a bulb would cause this. Maybe your car is just playing extra safe?

    i think you got wrong bulb mate.

    pop into any motor factor and ask for the tail/break light should cost no more than £1

    Autosparks will come along soon and confirm

    this happened to a 2007 transit connect 1.8tdci in my work, turned out to be the nearside brake bulb from tescos.

    Take the bulb you replaced out again and try again, should clear your fault, then pick up a bulb from vauxhall or somewhere else.

    Check the bulb you fitted.
    The correct type has two contcts.
    If you fit a single contact type you will power up the sidelight circuit when you press the brake pedal.

    As SQ Man said it sounds like you have a single filament bulb or the bulb is not correctly seated in the holder, my bet is you have a single filament bulb instead of a dual filament bulb.
