    Iridium spark plugs?

I've heard quite a few people mention them. What are they? How much do they cost and why would you get them on your car?

    And do they increase performance?

they are an iridium tipped plug that is widely recommended for z20let engines as they burn cooler,,the tip goes to a point instead of a butt end.. ,,, they may not be recommended for your car depending on what car you have .. you can get them from courtney sport for about £30 for 4

A lot of people are ditching them for Cossie 071 spark plugs, which only cost £8 for 4 and makes a turbo go like stink and pop like... er something that pops.

Have a quick search for cosworth spark plugs and you will get the idea.

got this from this website if it helps lol

    http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/pages/t...park_plugs.htm

spark plugs can't increase the potential power that an engine can generate but a more efficient spark will provide more efficient combustion and associated performance and economy benefits. A poor spark from a worn or low grade spark plug will reduce efficiency. An Iridium plug will produce a more efficient spark.

yes gsi's have z20let engines... but you should contact a company like courtney sport and ask about the best spark plugs for your engine..may well find that the iridium suit your car too..
