    Intercooler piping

Hi all i was just wondering is their much to gain from using 63mm piping instead of 57mm ? Im looking to upgrade to a fmic for my gsi and just wonderd what was best? I know 57mm will fit easier but if their is alot more to gain from 63 ill go for that cheers

i know they say bigger piping bigger gains, but also bigger lag is also poss, i have small 51mm pipework and didnt lose me anything when remapped as u see by my figures, only my standard bore zorst stopped me from going higher.
personally, u pays ya money and takes your choice

surely ,whats the point of putting on a larger volume intercooler if you cant get more cold air to the engine faster.. using larger pipes gets more cold air out of the intercooler to the engine faster..

If your not going for big power smaller is fine.

Also if you do go to 63mm but keep the standard top hat its not worth it as its smaller than 63mm.
