astra x20xev wiring fault, can anyone help?

basicaly the management light has come on and sent the car into limp mode, im pretty good with engines ect and have changed all the sensors the paperclip test brang up (TPS, Cam sensor, Lamba sensor) all were fine as i tried them on another car.

i eventually found out the problem, there is no power going to the TPS, there should be a 5.0v feed, but theres nothing. ive checked the haynes for wiring diagram and the TPS and camshaft sensor are both in the same subloom, has anyone any idea as to why theres no power to the TPS? im thinking a break in the wire somewhere as ive tried all fuses ect.. do any relays control the loom?

A 5volt feed is likely to come direct from the ECU so use the haynes manual to check what pin it should come from and test the volatrge there

ive just checked pin 32 of the ECU (tps) and theres no power there either, so obviously theres a break down in the ECU, are these repairable as it looks a sealed unit.

ive just tried the ECU from the same car but a 2000 plate (car is 1999) and it starts but cuts out so obviously the ecu needs to have the exact code which is gona be a nightmare to find.
also am i gona need the transponder and key also?

Yes you need the ECU and chip reader and also the chip that is inside the ignition key that matches the ECU. The chip reader surrounds the ignition barrel

right an update. ive swapped the ECU over (with transponder, key ect..) still has a fault. BUT since ive changed the cam sensor the power to the TPS has come back. (someone had fitted the wrong one)

ive changed now the cam sensor, CPS, TPS, air flow metre, coilpack and leads, spark plugs, idle valve. theres only so many sensors you can change.

basically the symtoms are, it starts fine, but when you try to put your foot down it bogs down , dont want to go no where, it revs fine only the spot, but its like at 4 and half K it hits the rev limiter.

    any advice?

I have exactly the same problem, have now run out of ideas, and cant afford to spend anymore £ on changing parts.

Did you manage to sort out the problem?

    Thanks
