Question How do I find out what BHP my van is from new?

I have a 54 plate 1.7CDTI Astravan - Sportive and I don't know what the BHP/PS is as standard - may be an obvious question but - how can I find out what BHP it is?

    I'm guessing mk4 in which case it's about 80bhp.

I think they only did the 80bhp model, that's what my MK4 was.

This is whats puzzling me... I've took on board your reply about the 80bhp but I do a search on DTUK for example it comes up with 100bhp for the 1.7cdti sportive van. that's why I asked if the bhp/ps is listed somewhere - maybe the log book, id plate on the car or something?

    pass then.

    I thought the 1.7 CDTI 100bhp were only the MK5's. My bro has a 100bhp 1.7 mk5, mine was a 80bhp mk 4.
