Going lower than 30mm on springs...

I wanted some DAP-R springs but seems DAP has changed its business and isnt selling anymore so has anyone sat their astra on springs that send it lower than 30mm?

What make were they and how are they performing? Im planning on keeping the original shocks.

I found some Spax 45mm drop springs on LMF but thats all I can come across...

    Cheers.

All I can comment on is my MK4 SXi - springs alone on OEM shocks was horrible. Probably down to two things: 1) my shocks were very old and 2) I don't feel the OEM shocks can cope well with the increased stiffness of lowered springs, especially given the OEM shocks would be sitting compressed more than normal with the lowered springs on, meaning they'll not be operating in their designed movement.

Putting some matching/uprated shocks on improved things no end, slow speed bumps are much better, high speed bumps are superb, and the car just sits tighter into corners now as the shocks don't just give way.

I have a 45mm drop on just springs. Made by eibach or apex (cant remember which ones) as i bought them from thru a friends shop and they came in a white box (unbranded) but straight out the same factory as the branded ones.

its still good. as i didnt change the struts it's still a bit bouncy (good for motorways) but handles alot better.
