    Wheel refurb WIP pictures

As some of you know, I had a disagreement with a curb on the way home at the weekend. So pretty much straight away I set to work on sorting it out. Will keep updating this as I go

    Home

    Spares fitted

    Filler

    Masked

    Filler primer

2nd wheel filler primered, 1st wheel in primer

Need to go and see if the bodyshop suppliers will take paint out of a tin and put it into an aresole for me. Otherwise I will need to have some paint mixed up, and then the other 2 wheels will need doing as well to match

    Good skills mate!
Were the wheels originally done by a body shop?

I'd be a little worried about paint reacting if youve used halford primers, which it looks like you have. I mean if your having proper paint from a tin with thinners stuck in a rattle can, when you paint you may find it reacts.

Just thought i'd make you aware to watch out for it, right nightmare most other paints with those from halfords.

Good luck anyway, hope it works out for you.

you were right lol. I now have some other primer though from the bodyshop supplier place. Hopefully this will be better. The paint has only reacted in one small place though.

From what I though was a small amount of paint, the mixer managed to make me up 3 rattle cans. So plenty to do the two wheels with, maybe enough to do the dash as well.

    Anyway pictures
Wasn't happy with the curbing on this one still. Filler primer wasn't solving it, so added a bit more filler.

The other wheel now with its 1st layer of paint. Applied the paint very thin in the hope it wouldn't react or run.

And the part that has reacted

TSW Pace's aren't for sale, and if they were your about 4th in a queue

I have often thought your wheels are an awesome colour! do you have a colour code for them or are they just anthracite?

very carefully rub the reacted area down but try not to go through the paint, then lightly build up the coats again, hopefully it wont react any more.

Good progress but shame about the reaction.
Make sure you get the paint wrapped around the edge as best you can.
