    deisel tuning box

I have recently bought a tuning box for my 1.9cdti. Peformance and mpg is very good now and much improved but i have noticed black smoke coming out of the exhaust more.

    Is this normal?

Yes. It shouldn't really be excessive but a little more soot is to be expected.

I need to drop mine down a bit, it's almost James Bond-esque the smoke screen that pours out of mine!!

You should only get smoke under hard acceleration or when nearing the red line. You might find turning the box down a little might actually make it go a bit better.
