    Need help! Mk4 Astra

    Hallow guys.

I have been offered a cavalier 2.0 16v turbo, (redtop) with full leather interior etc for 700 quid.

I currently have an astra SXI 1.6, i am wondering if the engine would fit straight in along with the interior?

Would there be any extras I'd need to buy for the engine to fit?

There is also 126k miles on the engine.

    Cheers!

If it was me, i'd be keeping it all in the Cav and not sticking it in the Astra.

To answer your question though, it wouldn't be a problem - relatively straight forward though I believe the rear bench will be a tight squeeze.

Cheers mate. Just the cav...it's an old motor, and I'm going for a full GSI conversion in my astra. Think it'll be a bit unique, as you can't get a GSI in the colour I've got. (Prestige Blue, Not arden)

    Just a little project!

The GSi's use the ZLET, not the CLET which is what's in the Cav.

I'll not say what I really think about that but I will say I don't agree with your thinking.

Lol I appreciate the info. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to cars tbh!

Well...I know what most people would think...but..I can't really afford to insure a 2l turbo!

I think I'm going to buy it regardless though! I could make a fortune off or use it!

    Cheers guys!
