    Hi sx297

If you were limited to halfrauds stuff I would:
what els will i need to get
    thinking about these from halfords
lamb wool mit, I would get 2 of these, when your washing you want to use one of them for the upper parts of the car and the other just for the lower parts of the car. The lower parts are more soiled and you want minimise the risk of damaging paint from crap you pick up on the lower half of the car.
megs gold shampoo Never used this one but i love the megs nxt shampoo, purple/blue looking stuff
tyer spray I found turtle wax wet and black spray good. If you had a choice to buy elsewhere I would recomend chemical guys new look gel.
2 buckets of course, where ever you can buy these the cheapest.

and what can i use to clean the wheel arches and stop sh*t geting stuck up ther I use the noodle style wash mits, they have long fibre looking bits on them. Buy a cheap crappy one as they only get trashed. I find these good because they cover a large surface area and the noodles get into all the nooks and crannies
Not many things will stop stuff getting there but if you use atyre spray use that in the arches also, will leave i nice finish and should make washing dirt off a little easier.

did a serch but it seems evry one uses simalar stuff but in a diferrent order and just got confused

A lot of it is common sense, but this can only be applied after you know about your products and how to correctly use them. My advice is to find out about the products you own, Then you can make a decision in which order and how you should go about things.
Alot of detailing stuff has massively fallen into trend and fasion as far as products go, If your not using products that are COOL at the time they must be crap, so your own product research and reviewing is all that really matters!

and wots bad about tutle wax stuff
Partly because its not trendy but mostly i believe is down to the products and their durability, seems like a hardcore market push for plainly average products. You can get far better products for similar money but turtle wax has the advantage of being widely available to anyone who wants clean a car with no knowledge.

If your shopping from halfords, If I were you:
    • Buy some autoglym super resin polish
    • Buy a paste/solid wax product, (don't know what they stock)
    • Megs glass cleaner
    • Deep pile microfibers
    Then:

    • Wash, tbm
    • dry with your water magnet
    • clay with your kit( i assume it come with lube)
    • use SRP with a yellow pad
    • Remove with a deep pile MF
    • Wax, use the other yellow pad
    • Remove with another deep pile MF
    • Clean glass
    • Tart up what ever else you see fit.

With everything, use your brain and your eyes, if you think it needs a wash down in between claying then do it etc, etc, But if you use the products correctly they should leave you with a good finish to carry on.

    Hope this is help full

    Dave.
