    bonnet will not pop

    any one know a way to get the bonnet up?pull handle no pop,did work last week,has got an after market grill and some mod on the release pull thing so it sits flush with the grill, astra mk4 x reg 2.0Ldont know if that matters.

    ist there still tention in the lever or does it feel like its snapped? doubt the bonnet release pull mods made a difference

    yea don't think it has snapped, there is still tension,how can you get the bonnet up then any ideas?

    all fixed now

    Turns out the release pull hinge gad locked up,long flat head screw driver though the grill, to pull the pin out then push the hinge back,then popped bonnet and it lifted,but then had to use long needle nose pliers to pull hinge to open bonnet,and there were two holes in the hinge,maybe it was to recess the bonnet release tab? not sure, I have just used a new screw and nut to refit the tab as I could not find the one I pooped out,then some WD40, I can see why they did it now, because the release tab sticks out a lot when the bonnet is shut, but would rather that than it sticking agen,LOL
