Unhappy Noises from grear lever or gear stick.

hie guys, i have an astra 1.6 mak 4 8v, ive started hearing some noises coming from the gear stick, its only happends when changing gears or when parked if i move the stick a bit i hear the noises, they seem to be coming from around the gear stick its self, just under the leather thing, how do i sort it, it sounds like it needs some bit of grease but how do i even romove the leather cover?

    Thanks for looking.

Not really a electrical question mate so for now i'll move it to interior as your asking how to remove the leather gear lever surround

I believe if you lift up the panel below the handbrake to access the odb connection you'll then find 2 T20 screws to remove which allows the whole panel to lift up
