    Angry Fitting Cobra sports Cat

    Hi Aoc,

Has anyone else had trouble as I am fitting one of there sports cats?? My m8 has done everything poss to fit and it just wont seal, with paste on and gasket, I have recently got a pre cat from cybox which fitted alot easier than this is, when the cat is bolted in there is a bend in the pipe which is sitting on the sub frame making a horrible vibrating noise from inside and outside the car Also just got in to notice the backbox has moved slightly to the left. Really frustrating me now this is.

People laugh at me when I tell them that.

Its an old school trick (Used to use it on my MMK1 and MK2 escort manifolds)

Could the precat off the turbo be at the wrong angle? I would loosen off the clamp around the turbo so theres more play in the exhaust system. i have one of these sports cat fitted and it went on easy apart from having to drill the precat bolt holes out by another couple of mm which took 5 minutes.

Well went Exhaust uk and it was indeed a fault on there part, the guy was very sorry bout it put my car up on the ramp straight away and sorted it so 10/10 for customer service there, just one quick question though, when i drive normal the exhaust tone is fine but when on boost it sounds like its blowing lol, not sure if this is correct as my first turbo car with turbo back system.the guy said it normal?

Started up and cnt hear it or feel it blowing anywhere at all, must just be the sound it makes on boost. I cnt describe the sound any other way lol also its at front of the car well sounds at the front. The guy did check and he said it was fine, he also mentioned as its all new it'll get quieter as carb builds up in the new pre cat and sports cat. . . .? Correct?
