ur not gonna get much better performance mate without upping the disc size

could probs source u a 4 stud 280mm upgrade but will come in at about £100-150 roughly + extra if u really want grooved/drilled etc

were talkin new steering knuckles, calipers, caliper carriers, discs, pads + fitting

Its becoming a popular mod these days - MarkC was the first, then me, then a couple others...... Im doin one to another car as we speak

yeah no worries - just need to source the parts from a 5stud mk4 and then get ur drilled/grooved discs from online

discs are £70 delivered here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GROOVED-SPORTS...d=p3286.c0.m14

    So youd just need

Steering knuckles from 5 stud mk4
    calipers from same car
    caliper carriers from same car
    new pads and ur sorted

before u take the plunge u need to establish if ur car is fully pre-wired for fogs

some have no wiring, some have all the wiring, and some have partial wiring!

a good way to determine is to located the fuse box behind the drivers storage panel - below headlight switch if u dont know

locate the correct fuse for the front fogs - look in mk4 elec forum for diagram and check if theres pins in the fuse location

u may wish to source a headlight switch with a front fog light switch and then check the plugs that youve found for a 12v supply using a multimeter or a bulb.

you can then go about looking for front fogs

u dont actually need a new bumper!!! the bumper u have will have cut outs on the back marked out so all u do is grab a junior hacksaw and drill and cut them out - a brand new pair of fogs can be had for £45-50 on ebay - pop em in the holes and secure to the brackets left on the bumper - plug em in, pop a relay and fuse in the fusebox and enjoy!!!!

If however u dont have all the wiring then youll probs have to fit an aftermarket switch and wiring kit yourself.
