Without a re-flash/re-tune etc the standard ECU will not be able to run the new turbo....

Also, is it an internal or external wastegate???

Was the car remapped for that turbo? Just asking as i thought that if you get any other turbo cept for the z20let/h/l/r turbo units then you have to get it remapped to that specific turbo or it damages engine? I could be wrong, but thats just what i thought.

The tapping on the back of the VX turbo provides the pressure to operate the actuator via the solenoid.

The second tapping into the turbo entry pipe is used to vent the actuator pressure when the solenoid closes.

This provides a closed system of filtered air to open and close the actuator. So all you need to do is create a second tapping point close to the inlet of the new turbo.

You will also have to drive very very carefully to get it remaped as soon as the car is drivable. The difference in fueling requirment for the new turbo could wreck the engine very quickly. Personally I would open the waste gate until you get it on a rolling road.
