    Cd 30 Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ive just picked up my 56 reg astra estate today!!!! tryed to play a cd and it came up with 'error CD'. then the cd ejects!

    help would be greatful!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I guess you have tried a 2nd CD preferably a orgional one rather than a copy?

    That's what used to happen to mine before it started switching itself on at night to kill the battery. It was replaced under warranty as it's a common problem with the CD30. It's a fault with a small switch inside.
    Don't bother using one of the ebay services to fix it.
    My CD used to get stuck and then make odd noises. The EJECT button also stopped working. All the Blaupunkt ones were faulty and the main dealer kept quiet until I quoted the Technical Bulletin number. The document contains all the known faulty ones within certain serial number blocks.
    If it is out of warranty it's probably cheaper buying a new CD30 or CD30MP3 off here or ebay - or aftermarket stereo.
