Switch wire from a CD30 head unit to amp

Just sold my golf so decided to spend a bit on the astra. gonna keep the standard headunit and fit a vibe slick 12" active sub and jbl components via a jbl 600w amp both through line converters. the problem is iv got no idea where the switch wire would come from. any ideas?

Check if your headunit has the AR pin. If it does use that otherwise you have two other options, The spare wire on the auxillary 12V socket or the wire on the Hazard switch. There is a guide on fitting a headunit on the MK5, heck the stikcy at the top of the forum.
