    Number Plates

Some of you might have seen my earlier thread about personalised number plates, Well I've now bought one, had the plates made up and ready to fit them!
Think my old ones looked abit rubbish with a big tatty screw through the middle though, thinking about using sticky pads from halfords to attach these, can anyone who's done it give there opinions on sticking on rather than screwing?

    thanks

mine are held on with double sided foam sticky stuff, i put loads on as i brought a cheap roll of the stuff from ebay - excellent stuff, takes a hell of a lot of force to remove if you have to , as i found out, so yes put enough on an dit wont move

    i would recommend it.

    Cheers mate

So I take it the stuff Halfords are selling with number plates will do the trick then?

I live in an ok area, so not really worried about chav's pulling them off or anything lol, just want to make sure they won't fall off while driving.

    Cheers! just one more question!

When removing my old plates i have noticed the car has little rubber bungs in it that the plates were screwed into, these are pretty well held in, shall i just remove them? i mean it won't cause any problems in the future getting rid of them, like selling the car for instance?

if they will come out easily then remove them if not put some sticky pads over them to, to stop them going anywhere.

you shouldnt have any probs selling your car on, if the plates are stuck on or screwed, it doesnt make any difference.

Yeah, it's just the plates won't sit flush with the bungs still on, infact, thing it may be hard to actually get the plates to stick with sticky pads, as these bungs stick out so much.
