    Astra SPORT

This is my 1.8 16v Astra Sport. I bought it back in March this year with 91,000 miles on the clock.

The grille was already changed so that saved me buying a new one. After I bought it I took it for a service (not gonna bore you with what was on there), main thing was brake discs and rear shocks that need replacing within a few months.

Soon afterwards I bought a new head unit (with ipod connection) and centre console. Fitted them in on the same day and painted the cigarette lighter cover and the cover between handbrake and gearstick to match.

Not done much since last update. Sprayed lights in black (still legal I think) and had to get a new wishbone for my car.

Spent too much money on crap and haven't done much to my car.

Bought some proper (smoked) rear lights for my car and a sub and amp. Having problems with them so getting that sorted this week hopefully.

Also gonna remove my headlights and spray the plastic bit black. Same as the GSI lights so it matches the car.

    DIY headlights

After looking at a few bio's I decided it woud be a good idea to save some money and spray my own lights instead of buying them from ebay or somewhere.

    It didn't take too long
    Took bumper off
    Remove lights
Heat in the oven (no problems)
    Remove lens
    Remove and spray chrome strip.

And put it all back together.

Ran into a few problems though. One of the bolts holding the bumper on was rounded off so I had to work around it and I rushed it abit. Didn't wanna be still doing it in the evening when its too dark.

Lens is really cloudy so I prob need to get new lens or replace the lights. Look way better than before though (not from this angle) and saved me money in the mean time

Just a small update. Went in for a service the other week and its on 101,052miles. They changed the oil etc and cleaned up my egr because the car was stalling at nearly every junction (if you have this problem you will know how annoying it is), also got 25% discount because he knows my dad (small world).

Nothing else new, moving out soon so just cleaning it for summer and maybe looking at getting an exhaust. Any suggestions welcome. Nothing too loud or chavvy
