    Engine rev limit question

    Hi all ,

    My wifes zaffy gsi shows the red line on the counter to be at about 6800 but seems to only want to rev upto about 5600ish

    Any ideas please guys

    that doesn't seem right, check the air filter, and replace the fuel filter, is it down on power at all?

    Just had a full sevice before we collected it a week ago , No idea if its down on power as I have no idea what it would feel like otherwise but seems to be fairly pokey still . No lights on at all

    does this mean you have just bought it?? if so then take it back and ask them to sort it out! it will go a little lifeless after 5600rpm because of the map. it should still rev above the 5600 upto around 6600 before hitting the limiter!

    had a proper play this evening and after 5600rpm it does go all the way to 6600rpm but there is nothing there at all in the way of power .

    it will seem flat as on the standard map the turbo runns out of steam! a remap will put an end to that and power will be strong all the way through the rev range!
