    Removal of airbox

Hi guys, i've tried a search, but for some reason i can't use that facility. I appreciate that the question will have been asked before. SO............
I'm going to remove my airbox and go open cone (Green or Jetex) but i could do with knowing the size of the neck of the filter required. I'll be connecting it to the air mass sensor tube.
    It's a mk5 astra 1.8 16valve
    Thanks in advance,

    Kyle

As above. If you struggle to measure the diameter accurately without removing the airbox, just measure the circumference and work it out from there..

just saying you havnt really proved much about the airbox re-restricting, i de-restricted mine and i can feel a slight positive difference also your opinion does seem fairly out numbered compared to everyones recommendations to de-restrict for better response, each to their own though
