    Limp mode

Has anyone ever had their Z20LET in limp mode? if so could you please explain the symptoms.

When i first start the engine the car with spanner light illuminates and the car wont rev over 5k rpm.

when i drive the car it starts to kangaroo when the turbo comes in. this happens no matter what rpm the engines at, 2-3000rpm etc..

There is also white smoke when idle and like water dripping from the exhaust (its not loosing coolant).the smell of the smoke is not an oil smell.

after running the car for 5-10 mins the EML illuminates

    Thanks

I have codes U2100 and U2108 thats because i have no ABS unit fitted.
The spanner light is coming straight on when car is started so thats why i think the cars in limp mode.
    What is limp mode though?

All sorted now. The problem was no ABS pump giving fault codes U2100 and U2108.
These codes were causing the car to go straight in to limp mode when the engine was started.
The car with spanner light was coming straight on, then the car was smoking (dumping fuel) and not revving over 5000rpm.
now i have no warning lights, no smoke, and car revs straight to the red line.

With the ABS pump missing the car was going in to limp mode causing the engine to over fuel.
