    rear parking

hi there, - what is the differences between the vauxhall park pilot and an ordinary reverse parking sensor please?.

thinking of getting something like this fitted. only when reversing really required.

........got this email reply from vauxhall though...

Thank you for your e mail request with regard to fitting park pilot to your Astra. The cost to install park pilot mounted
in to the bumper area is 495.36 inc. We also do a no. plate mounted park pilot which comes out at a cost of 127.24 inc.
Should you wish to make a booking or require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Regards

The difference for the first ones will be at least £300 cheaper, how the heck can they charge that amount!

All rear park sensors work in the same way, slap it in reverse and they come on.

I guess the number plate one isn;t a bad price, it should be a meta SR2 http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/sto...ct=Targa%20SR2

If that "number plate" one in the link is anything like the one on my Astra CDTi it'll be a waste of money to be honest. Beeps at random and you need to go very slowly indeed for it to work right - I don't really trust it.

Alot of people on here recommend the £25 park sensor kits on ebay but I do wonder how effective they are and how many false alarms they give

I can't even buy my park sensors for that price in the trade!!!

Cobra park sensors are about the best on the market IMO, I mainly fit steelmate though which are also very good
