    Angry another problem....

I had to change my themostat and housing last month, now the temp gauge sits above the halfway mark where as is was middle before this, also i suspect my car is over fueling. I also noticed for the first time today that my cooling fan comes on after you turn the car off? (gauge reading 0).

Would this be the coolant temp sensor or something else? how to test?

    Any help would be greatfull.

    Cheers again

Could be the temp sensor, do you have the EML light lit on the dash?

Other option is a faulty thermostat or perhaps an air lock in the system? I am assuming the coolant level is correct and that you refilled the system with the correct anti-freeze mix?

an update, sorry nry never realised you replied again. lol.

got a new temp sensor, no difference!

got my elm 327 up and running with live data, normal op temp seems to be around the 106deg mark (gauge says about 95 or so) and the fan kicks in at 112deg(gauge not touching the 100 mark),

so this shows the thermostat is working??

i bought the proper antifreeze from vaux and put in 2litres with the same water, but never mixed it before putting it in, would it be mixed properly in the engine??

the temp sits between the 90/100 mark while going 70, put the fans on and it goes down but creeps back up.........A/C on doesn't make any difference.......

    any help much appreciated
