    Question Can you help?

    Hi,
    I am after some info for my hubby about our vauxhall astra Cd, 2001 1.6 16v
    He wishes to locate the gear box oil level plug any ideas?
    hope u can help !
    Or do u know of a site on line that I can download a workshop manual ?

    the level plug is located next to the inboard driveshaft joint as it fits into the gearbox and should be a 13mm spanner fit. if you need to fill the gearbox then this is done by removing the reverse light switch on top of the gearbox and squeezing in the oil until it runs from the level plug hole

    I did the How-To on changing the oil, there are some pics of the level and fill plugs which may help.

    Check the How-Tos for the information.
    52 Astra G 1.8, 18" Mille Miglia alloys, 325mm Brembo 4 pot conversion, Coupe leather interior, Raid strut brace, Whiteline rear ARB, Irmscher bits (skirts, Carbon steering wheel, Bonnet extension, M3 mirrors, boot & roof spoiler), Reiger Rear Diffuser & Front Bumper, Koni Adj. dampers, 35/30 Vogtland springs, Duplex quad exit ASCAR stainless exhaust.
