The other day i had Matts black astra 5 door come to my house for a day of cleaning and hopefully avoiding the rain.
Anyway first off was a good washing With Megs nxt wash followed by a good claying with megs quick clay and then another wash and wheels cleaned.
Car was then masked up with 3m blue tape. Atest panel was then done with a sonus sfx1 pad and menzerna power gloss as the swirling in the sun was quite bad.
This combination seemed to remove 99% of the swirling and scratching as well as giving the paint a nice deep glow. I was getting a little worried as the sun was getting stronger by the minute and as the car was black it was heating up very fast.
Anyway the car was then repeated with menzerna final finish and an sfx 2 pad to get rid of any residue and give the paint a deep finish.
The car was then jetsealed using a das bonnet and left for about 20 - 30 mins to bond with the paint. While i was waiting for the jetseal the wheels were collinite 476'ed and the exhaust cleaned with autosol and a bit of wire wool. The jetseal was then removed with a microfibre bonnet and the masking tape removed.
Today my choice of wax lsp was victoria concours wax which was applied by hand in cross herringbone patterns to ensure even coverage. This was left to cure for about 5 minutes as the bodywork was warm from the sun. and as i was completing the last panel the heavens opened.
Anyway here are a few pics of the finished car with a couple of beading shots ..............
