    Cam belt

    not sure if mine has been changed bought car at 68K now done 73K. So i'm going to take the cover off and have a look what should i look for that would suggest whether or not its on its way out

    Look for the rubber being perished. Maybe fine fine splits in it. Was the interval change at 40k miles or 60k? If its 40k you might as well get it changed again if there's no history of it ever being done. How do the rollers sound on idle? Are any of the bearings loud? Could be a sign that nothing was changed.

    car sounds fine and the belt to me looks ok, dont want to go to all that expense if it was done at 60k.

    if theres no proof of it being done

    get it replaced with rollers, tensioner & water pump

    all toll ur lookin at about £200 fitted depending on engine


    No proof = not worth the risk
