Easy to fit the irmscher boot spoiler to Astra MK4 Hatch?

Basically the bodyshop wouldnt do it as it was rubbing the motor as explained in another thread. However we have left a little weight ont he centre of the spoiler hoping to press it back into position if it had bowed, making it touch the wiper.
MY dad has been reading the irmscher guide to fitting it and is looking at having a go at this himself, is there any tips to doing it, and also is it an easy job as I know alot of people do it themself?

Im not sure, they did fit someone else I know's though however, and his is fine. Think mine had bowed slightly, but were sorting mine out and then going to have a go ourself. I know alot of people on here have done so..

Never heard of an Irmscher spoiler bowing. Sure you haven't got a cheap fibre glass imitation.
You can easily tell, just look underneath the spoiler and on one corner there should be the Irmscher name etc clearly embossed.
They are easy to fit if you make a template but one change and if you muck it up you've made a messy few holes.

Here she is! I think he's done a great shop, no less than a bodyshop could have done.

Yeah it looks gorg. Was so happy when I saw it on there, he's jammy like that. Yeah literally moved the holes in a tiny bit, lacquered it all up etc so its all protected. Rubber pads on the bottom etc, and it was the holes being moved in a bit which gave it such a good clearance. Saved me £40 anyway!
