    LED Strips for Footwell

im on holiday in Bangladesh at the moment and i picked up a pair of LED strips for a bargain price of 700 taka, which works out to around 5 quid. so anyway i want to fit them inside the footwells and was wondering what the best option is. i've considerd fitting them to come on with the sidelights. are there any issues with this? what other solutions are there?

I'd suggest you don't have them on while you're driving.

Wire them up to come on with the courtesy light. Don't bother with the sidelights and having an override switch - there's no temptation then

mines have a button to turn them on, they turn off with ignition
You would have to be real unfortunate to get pulled by the police, not that visable from outside, plus easy enough to turn off

It's got naff all to do with the police - it's your own ability to drive with the ambient light in the foot well. I don't think it's a good idea while driving!
