    Price of an Astra

    Afternoon.

My mums insurance came through today, but the value of the car doesnt seem quiet right to me (unless im expecting higher )
    She Drives:
Vauxhall Astra MK5 04 or 54 plate (cant remember)
    SXi
    1.4i
    5 Door hatchback (no modifications)
    A/C
    50,000ish Miles
    15" alloys in think
Inside in good condition, no major marks
    Serviced regulary.
Bodywork in good condition for age, except 2 very small dinks bout 1/2mm dent size of penny in rear bumber (hard to see)

Wonder you guys would give rough price on this at all? I think insurance given wrong price (and if claim comes wont be right!)

Iain, the price they quote on the insurance premium isn't really an issue as you'll get the market value at the time if the car is written off, even then, they will try to give you a lower price and then you simply back yourself up with say ads from the auto trader showing a similar spec going for more.

Thanks guys. They have priced the car value at £3300. It is rather lower, and of cause i understand if had to claim the insurance would asses the cost. May get my Mum phone them back and change the value to tiny bit higher!

    Thanks again!
