Astra G mk4 Coolant Guage and Fan ECU Help

    Van was previously a 1.7 DTi on a 2000 W

Is this the correct ecu pictured? Notice the Fan Wiring leads from this...

This is located passenger side wheel arch

If this ecu contains all i need to run my temp guage and fan, how do i go about this?

CK was the correct Coolant Control Unit for the 1.7 engine but to run a Z20LET you'll need either the CJ or WJ

CJ was discontinued and replaced with WJ

CJ was a natural/white colour - Cant comment off hand what the WJ is though

I would assume if you are experiencing problems with the ZLET with regards the cooling side of things then this is the reason.

CJ units are usually on ebay for around £25

Brand new WJ ones can be sourced from Autovaux amongst others for approx £75 delivered.

I trust you have the full engine bay loom for the ZLET? Make sure the CTS (coolant temp sensor) is working as this not only affects the timing but actuates the fan and the gauge on the dash.

First of all though.....get the correct CCU and sell the yellow one on!

You need to find a blue and brown wire in the mk4 engine bay loom.
These wires come from the mk4 ECU to the coolant temp gauge sensor in the thermostat housing.
check the colour of the wires coming from the coolant temp gauge sensor, there should be a blue wire and a brown wire.

Yes, you need to drill and tap the mk4 cts in to the let thermostat housing.
