    exhaust manifold

i think i have a crack in my exhaust manifold and was wondering what my options are.

    do i

1 replace it with a oem one from vauxhall

2 buy the regal exhaust manifold

3 buy the vxr turbo with exhaust manifold

or is there another option. also with option 1 & 2 can i still use my original turbo

    cheers

what mileage is ur existing blower on?

if its relatively low then just buy a replacement LET manifold - iirc Regal are selling them for about £50 notes each... a good garage will swap it over for a couple hours labour

VXR turbo is a good option too but if its just the mani thats the issue and everything else is good to go i wouldnt bother personally

average lifespan it would seem is around the 40k mark so its up to u

if u cant afford the vxr blower at this point in time id settle for a replacement manifold and few hours labour (even better if u can DIY it)

budget for replacement gaskets studs and nuts amongst other things tho

then if/when the turbo finally gives up however long down the line replace with vxr jobbie.......... all depends if u reckon its worth replacing now or waiting until it dies
