Powerflex front engine mount inserts help!

I just ordered some of the above which should be arriving in about a week. Just need help fitting them now! As i don't have the abilty, confidence or all tools to do it can someone help me fit them?!!?

I've heard a few people on here say they fit them and its easy but i havent got any axel stands. I don't wanna spend loads of money at a garage just for fitting if someone on here doesn't mind helping me do it??

Obviously i dont wanna drive far as the cost of petrol i could just go to a garage.

    Cheers

i know its not my region but its irrelevant!

If you have a trolley jack & a ring spanner (15mm i think) then u can do it!!!!

no need for axle stands at all - if ur car is still on standard suspension or a relatively average drop at the front then no need to even raise the front of the car.

if necessary then raise the front a few inches just so u can get access to the mount itself - either jack on the front subframe or anywhere u can (correct jackin place that is) to get a few inches height

then place another jack with a block of wood underneath the join between the engine block and the gearbox bell housing - DONT apply any pressure here - ur just making the jack act as a stand to take the weight of the block when u remove the front mount.

now altho the mount is held in place with torx bolts - i find it easier to use a ring spanner - think its 15mm iirc. one of the bolts will come out fully, the other will come out most of the way but free of the threads on the block, enough to remove the mount with the bolt then the bolt drops out the mount

will all make sense when u do it

clean up the engine mount with carb cleaner or whatever u have at hand

grease up the rubber then insert the poly bush into the voids in the bush

refit is reveral of removal as haynes say lol

check out the how to for more info but the last one i did took 5mins all toll so i'd expect about half hour or so if youve never done one before

    good luck

Where in the south east are you?

If its the F23 one I could do it for you. Would take 1/2 hour max.

You will need to check that the shape is the same as there are 2 different rubber mounts.
