engine layout anyone? diesel leak continued

As some of you may know my astra van is leaking diesel,

a couple of members on here spent alot of time trying to help me (ZS, Astracolli) and we narrowed it down to injector pipes/fuel spill pipe, managed to get the van ramped again this weekend and me and my dad (a merc fault finder/tachograph gaffer) spent 3 hours, thats right 3 hours, looking for it, and for a man who doesn't swear he let out some VERY foul words

The progress we made was when we removed a silver ECU unit (aka high voltage thingy) from the back of whats possibly a fuel pump?

ONLY THEN did we see that the diesel was actually running DOWN the loom, this hadnt been noticed before as the cables running to the ecu had been uphill, after removing and spinning the box around did gravity take its course and diesel came running down. If we clean the wires then watch and wait, you can see a drip start rolling down then get sucked back up? then back down until more and more gathers.

But the cables dissappear into the middle of the engine somewhere, whatever is on the end of them is what must be leaking! so i need the engine plans to find whats on the end! please can anyone help? i really want to fix it today if possible!

V-man suggested it may be the timing sensor at the bottom of the fuel pump, but i have no experience with these and no idea as to their location and whether its accessible without a big job breaking out, thanks for the help in advance, and im sorry to bother you lot with the same problem, at least were a step closer aye

    Thanks, Max
