Thinking of getting rid of the mk4...for a z20lel!

The time is near....I finish my apprenticeship in November and would like a new car some time after new year. Seen a few on autotrader, specifically the Mk5 2.0T. The engine code of the model I've seen is the Z20LEL (the 170bhp model) with the XP. Looks sweet as a nut. Any Mk5 owners out there, tell me what you love and hate about your car. And please don't try to put me off getting one! I don't want the Z20LET btw, I'm getting a bit tired of looking at the Mk4 now!

nice motors, dad and all our salesmen have 1.9's, i like them, drove a 170 other year, was ok, obviously there is potential to make it faster and more responsive, nothing wrong with wanting a mk5 mate anyway

Words I thought I'd never say.....just been looking at the 1.9 diesel (150). Tbh, looks like a better buy, just a touch slower, cheap to insure, fuel and tax. But sounds like a tractor! Decisions, decisions! Only biatch is the cars are at least a grand more to buy and I'm on sort of a limited budget - 4-5k maybe.

nothing wrong with the derv, no need to kill it over 3000rpm all time, the torque does the job, they aint the loudest derv's i'd live with one, egr valves and swirl valves are common, also dpf if it has one are not cheap if it needs replacing, but yes it would be a good buy and there are options like boxes out there to make it aa little more fun
